New Canaan Impressions

OPENING RECEPTION

3 - 5 p.m.
Sponsored by the Friends of New Canaan Library Art Committee

SUBMISSIONS:

Subject matter: An image of the town of New Canaan : its people, architecture, events, or landscapes.

No more than two (2) pieces per artist: paintings, drawings, photographs, collage, and/or printmaking pieces. No slides or CDs.

Pieces must be suitable for hanging and be ready to hang: framed, with hooks and wire.

Maximum size: 50”/side including frame. Please attach a submission form to each piece.

Delivery Date: Friday, June 20, 2008.

Time : 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

There is no entry fee, however, a donation to the Friends of New Canaan Library of 20% of any sale is recommended.

Delivery location: The Lamb Room, on the lower level, in The New Canaan Library.

Artists whose pieces are accepted for exhibition will be notified by phone on Sunday, June 22. If you do not receive notification by Sunday, June 22, please pick up your work on Monday, June 23 between 9 a.m. and 12 noon. It is important that work be picked up promptly, as there is no storage space and the room is open to the public.

Pick up date for rejected pieces: Monday, June 23, 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Pick up date for exhibited pieces: Monday, August 25, 9 a.m. – 12 noon .
