Special Charitable Income Tax Deduction Information:
Soon you will receive a letter from the Library asking for a contribution to the Annual Appeal. There are many reasons to give, including tax benefits. There may be an opportunity to receive more tax benefits on direct cash contributions this year only. Ask your tax advisor for details on Public Law 109-73 (The Katrina Emergency Act, which applys to public charities and is intended to stimulate general charitable giving, not just donations related to the hurricane).
