The Norwalk Symphony (Not) Just For Kids program is a lively, fun and interactive program designed to be educational as well as entertaining. Members of the orchestra will demonstrate their instruments, play for the children, and answer questions. In the last 15-20 minutes of the hour, the children will have a chance to hold and even try to play a beginning level instrument in the “Petting Zoo”.
On Saturday, September 30, at 4:00 PM the NSO woodwind quintet will demonstrate the instruments of the woodwind family: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon and French Horn.
On Saturday October 28 at 4:00 PM, members of the string section will demonstrate Violin, Viola, and Cello.
On Saturday January 27 at 4:00, it will be members of the percussion section and the series will conclude with the brass section on Saturday April 7 at 4:00 PM.
