DESCRIPTION:Explore the technique of blind embossing with artist Jeanne Mc
 Donagh. Blind embossing is a printmaking technique that creates a 3d dimen
 sional plate from made and found shapes that results in a raised, tactile 
 impression that can be seen and felt.  We’ll have cardboard, hot glue a
 nd a variety of art supplies for you to experiment with building a composi
 tion.  We will emboss our final designs on printmaking paper.  This work
 shop is intended for adults.\r\n \r\nAbout the Instructor: Jeanne McDonag
 h is a digital arts teacher and artist who recently retired from a 32-year
  career at New Canaan High School. Ms. McDonagh, who considers herself a 
 lifelong learner,” earned a BA, BS from Saint John’s University and 
 an MFA in Painting and Graphic Design from the Rochester Institute of Tech
 nology. In addition to her teaching career, Jeanne McDonagh has exhibited 
 her photography at Mystic Museum of Art, Fairfield Museum, Rowayton Art Ce
 nter and Carriage Barn Arts Center. She has been a photography juror and c
 ommentator for the Lower Fairfield Photography Club (2009 – 2023).
