DESCRIPTION:Join Young Women in Bio Ambassador Julia for a hands-on explor
 ation of DNA and genetics.  We will learn about the structure and functio
 n of DNA as well as ways DNA science is used in our daily lives.  To help
  us understand the basics of DNA extraction, we will conduct an experiment
  to extract DNA from a strawberry using simple household items.  For stu
 dents in grades 5-8.
