DESCRIPTION:In this upbeat beginner guitar session, students will be intro
 duced to the basic parts of the guitar, the names of the strings, and how 
 the instrument works through a live demonstration. This will be an interac
 tive program where kids can choose to pass around a guitar to try simple s
 trums and sounds, followed by a short Q&A to ask questions about guita
 r playing and getting started. Best for ages 8-13.Whit O'Reilly is a 
 local student, guitarist, and music teacher who works with kids to make le
 arning guitar fun, approachable, and song-focused. Drawing on 5 years of p
 laying experience and over a year of teaching experience, Whit emphasizes 
 clear fundamentals, playing real music early, and helping each student fee
 l successful at their own pace.
