Mosaics is a 4000-year-old art form that  uses bits of decorative glass, tiles, and other materials to create geome tric designs. This program is perfect for beginners and those looking to r efine their skills in this ancient art.In two sessions we will learn about the history of mosaic art and each individual will complete a mosaic proj ect. We will discuss the four elements of mosaics: the tessera, adhesives, substrates, and grout. Various project mosaic templates will be provided for students to use. Please only sign up if you can attend both sessions . Due to the required drying time, mosaic art can not be completed in one day. This hands-on workshop is for adults and involves handling stained gl ass pieces and grouting mosaic pieces. If you wish to bring a friend and c omplete one project together that is fine. Please note it in the registrat ion comments. Please dress appropriately and wear an artist's smock if you have one.
