Teen Library Assistant (Part-time)
New Canaan Library is seeking a friendly, confident person who enjoys working with teens and tweens to join our Family Services Department as a part-time Teen Library Assistant. The Teen Library Assistant works on the Teen Service desk and helps teens access materials and use library services. An understanding of typical teen development and behavior, and a genuine affinity for youth is a must for this position. The ideal candidate will have experience working with tweens/teens, be easily able to develop rapport, and be able to set and maintain clear boundaries.
