New Canaan Library hereby gives notice that its Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Jim and Dede Bartlett Auditorium at the Library.
The Library’s By-Laws recognize members as those individuals who have contributed time, money, or property to the library during the preceding year. The Annual Membership Meeting is also open to the public.
The meeting’s agenda will include remarks by Board Chairman, Robert Lowe, and CEO, Ellen Sullivan Crovatto. Douglas Ormond, Treasurer, will deliver a brief report on the library’s preliminary financial results for FY2025 and Eileen Thomas, Vice Chairman, will present the slate of officers.
New Canaan Library is an IRS Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and operates as a public/private partnership with the Town of New Canaan. While the Library receives an annual grant from the Town towards its operating expenses, the Library relies on private donors for funds to maintain its building and grounds and to meet its remaining operating expenses including the development of programs, the expansion of collections and services.
