Program Description

Event Details

ARTicipation workshop attendees will create an original, mixed media collage based on the recent ArtScapades topic of Seascapes. Using acrylic paint on canvas, tissue paper, printed patterns and other media, participants of all levels will be encouraged to create a work of art that could be either abstract or realistic.

This event corresponds with ARTscapades: Seascapes: From Ships to Shores on September 18th. The lecture looks at how the sea has been depicted over the centuries, from 17th realistic seascapes to 20th century abstract water views. We strongly encourage all attendees to attend the Artscapades lecture before the ARTicipation workshop.
