A longtime champion for Connecticut through entrepreneurship, public service, and philanthropy, Toni Boucher has never let hardship define her limits. Join us for an intimate presentation and conversation on how her immigrant family's determination and commitment to education led to the recipe for entrepreneurs of any age to achieve business excellence.
As a little girl in Italy, Toni Boucher cradled a stone and pretended it was a doll. Her father brought the family to the United States, and from humble origins and a devotion to hard work, family, and education, that little girl would later run in seventeen political campaigns (and win fifteen). She and her late husband, Bud, have been involved in many startups and business innovations. Each involved risk and belief in pursuit of an idea, even when others lose faith. Their dogged determination and success allowed Boucher to name the Boucher Management & Entrepreneurship Department at the UConn School of Business in her husband's honor and also to support anyone on an entrepreneurial journey who is committed to learning the skills and work ethic that get meaningful results.
