From NBA Dreams to a Mission of Substance Use Awareness
Join New Canaan CARES for a powerful evening with Chris Herren, where he is changing the conversation on substance use, focusing on the first day, not the last.
Hear his personal journey—from the highs of professional basketball to the depths of addiction and his path to recovery.
Learn about the risks of early substance use and gain insights into the importance of judgment-free conversations around substance use.
Discover strategies to delay the “First Day” of substance use, and rethink how we approach the choices that shape our child’s future.
This is a must-attend event for parents. New Canaan High School students, Grades 9-12, will have the opportunity to see Chris Herren present during the school day on Thursday, March 27th.
In the evening, parents, community members, and students (Grades 9 and up) who do not attend New Canaan Public Schools are invited to attend.
Let’s start the conversation early and build a stronger, healthier future together!
