Event Details
Get ready for an exciting two-hour session of the introduction to digital electronics program led by New Canaan High student Medha! Kids will dive into the world of digital electronics with Arduino Uno boards and fascinating concepts. The session will begin by introducing the basics of microcontrollers and circuits. After that, students will use the Arduino IDE, Arduino Uno boards, and sensors to create circuits to enrich their understanding of the concepts. The session will then transition into the basics of binary numbers with analog and digital data, where kids will learn new concepts and participate in exciting activities. These activities will include insightful challenges such as lighting up LEDs and mixing colors of light together. Each part of the session is packed with engaging games to review information, enriching challenges, and fun rewards!
For students in grades 5-8. Registration opens November 1 at 8am.
About the teacher:
Medha Singhania is a freshman at New Canaan High School with a deep enthusiasm for coding, robotics, and microcontrollers. Eager to inspire others, she is launching a digital electronics program, where she will help kids explore the exciting world of microcontrollers and coding with engaging learning experiences.
