Join us for an informative lecture with Dr. Stephanie Towns who will provide education about terminology related to cognitive decline and the providers who can assess and treat the causes. Dr. Towns will also share information about the most common causes of cognitive decline in older adults and everyday strategies for keeping brains healthy as we age.  In addition, Dr. Towns will review depression’s role in dementia and how depression is identified and treated in those living with cognitive decline. 

About Dr. Stephanie Towns

Dr. Towns earned her doctorate in psychology at Antioch University New England. She completed her internship at James A Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa, FL and her postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and brain imaging at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She is currently an associate professor of clinical neurology at Yale School of Medicine and the neuropsychology division training director. She provides clinical care to diverse patient populations suffering from a variety of neurological diseases, including Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.
