Program Description

Event Details

Calling all creative kids in 1st-3rd grade! Ready to give your story ideas the movie treatment?

Join local screenwriter and director Claire Ayoub (Empire Waist) for a fun and collaborative workshop dedicated to demystifying the filmmaking process, including a behind-the-scenes look at casting, costumes, production design, film scoring, and more.

Students are encouraged to bring a story idea to the workshop so they can apply what they learn to their own characters and world. Filmmaking is incredibly collaborative, so students will also have the opportunity to share their stories and ideas with Claire and their peers in this safe and supportive space.

Don’t have a story idea? Don’t worry! Join us and learn about the different departments of the filmmaking process. Inspiration is destined to strike.
