Event Details
Discover the aromatic, hospitality-driven cuisine of the Levant—the sun-drenched Eastern Mediterranean region encompassing Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Israel, Cyprus and parts of Turkey. This cuisine celebrates fresh vegetables, fragrant spices like sumac and za'atar, and communal dining traditions that have nourished families for generations.
You'll learn essential techniques, including working with traditional spices, achieving perfect texture in grain dishes, and balancing the bright, bold flavors that define Levantine cooking. Discover the cultural stories behind each dish and gain the confidence to recreate this generous, flavorful cuisine at home.
Chef Lamour Workman, was classically trained in France and her approach often reflects the skill and rigor of her education; however, she is mindful of making recipes accessible to the home cook. Her food reflects who she is, where she calls home and how everyday encounters shape how she cooks and experiences food.
