Five-time James Beard winner and New York Times bestselling author Dorie Greenspan discusses her 15th cookbook, Dorie's Anytime CAKES with Anna Francese Gass.

Dorie Greenspan: At 12, Dorie burned down her parents' kitchen and didn't really start cooking again until she got married her junior year in college. Once the self-taught baker decided to abandon her doctoral studies in gerontology to pursue a baking career she never looked back. Dorie was inducted into Who’s Who of Food and Beverage in America and was awarded the Mérite d’ Agricolet (Order of Agricultural Merit) by the French Consulate for her writing about France’s food. In addition to contributing to numerous media outlets, such as NPR, MSN, and The Independent, Dorie publishes the xoxoDorie newsletter. She divides her time between homes in Manhattan, Westbrook, Connecticut, and Paris. Her other cookbooks include bestsellers like Baking: From My Home to Yours, Around My French Table, and Dorie's Cookies.

Anna Francese Gass is known for her ingenious takes on traditional Italian dishes, Anna’s videos have been viewed by millions around the world. Her widely acclaimed first book, Heirloom Kitchen - Heritage Recipes and Family Stories From The Tables of Immigrant Women published in 2021 was featured on Rachael Ray and Today. Anna appears regularly on Good Morning America and Access Hollywood and her recipes are top-rated on NYT Cooking. She is a regular contributor to the New York TimesTaste of HomeWashington PostBon Appetit and Food52.
