Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate the launch of The Scone Queen Bakes by New York City-based chef and entrepreneur Danielle Sepsy. Known for her innovative-yet-nostalgic treats, Sepsy is the founder of The Hungry Gnome, a popular NYC wholesale bakery that now produces over 100,000 baked goods a month.

Clinton Kelly, Emmy-winning TV host and lifestyle consultant, best known for moderating ABC’s The Chew and co-hosting TLC’s makeover hit What Not to Wear, will be in conversation with Danielle as she demos one of her famous recipes.

We invite you to hear about Danielle’s culinary journey, which reached a national spotlight when she appeared on Dan Levy's HBO Max series, The Big Brunch. During the competition, she was officially crowned the "Scone Queen" by the judges and fans alike, with Levy famously declaring her creations "the best thing I have ever put in my mouth".

Beyond the recipes, Danielle shares her "full circle" story—from starting a home business at age thirteen to winning the New York State Women-Owned Business Owner of the Year award. Her book's design pays homage to her inspiration, Julia Child. Join us to hear from the chef who turned a childhood passion into a New York baking empire.

A book signing will follow the discussion, with copies available for purchase from Elm Street Books.
