New Canaan Library is hosting a free Impressionist Painting Workshop at Weir Farm National Historical Park as part of the suite of programs offered to accompany Dmitri Wright’s current exhibit at the library. Wright has been teaching at Weir Farm for well over a decade, and his en plein air workshops are wildly popular. The workshop is designed for beginning artists interested in learning more about the science and poetry of Impressionist landscape painting. Workshop will include introductory classroom lectures, field demonstrations, and critique of the participant's artwork. This workshop is open to all skill levels, ages 18 and up.
