"When I was your age, television was called books. And this is a special book. It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father. And today I'm gonna read it to you."

Join us at the Library for a screening of The Princess Bride (1987).

Directed by Rob Reiner (1947-2025), this classic tale of love and adventure is one of a kind. As a grandfather reads to his sick grandson the story of Buttercup and her true love Wesley, the audience is transported into a world of sword fighting, monsters, miracles, and (of course) true love.

This film screening is presented in association with the Library book group, From Page to Screen. Next Tuesday 2/10, we will be discussing aspects of the film and the book The Princess Bride by William Goldman. Please register here. New members are always welcome!

This movie is Rated PG by the MPAA.
