Nantucket Looms is heading off-island for a once in a lifetime trip to New Canaan!
Don't miss this special chance to hear the story of building this venerable brand as we discuss the publication of Rizzoli books magnificent new volume, Nantucket Looms: A Legacy of Style, which celebrates the iconic shop born 60 years ago on the island of Nantucket – a place House Beautiful once called “an American treasure”.
On this special afternoon the library will host a conversation with Nantucket Looms Owner, Liz Winship and her daughter Bess Clarke the current CEO/President and book author Linda Jane Holden to discuss their legacy of stunning artistry behind the handwoven textiles that bred the iconic summer style beloved by Jackie Kennedy Onassis and generations of fans for over 60 years. We will hear stories of craftsmanship, tradition and the secrets behind the effortless elegance of coastal living from the partners and artisans themselves. After the discussion, Elm Street Books will be on hand for a book signing and registrants should leave time to shop Nantucket Looms merchandise in their first-ever, off island pop-up store.
