Program Description
Event Details
Join us for Raising Curious Kids with author, senior fellow, and director of the Center for Universal Education at the Brookings Institution, Rebecca Winthrop.
Rebecca is the author of The Disengaged Teen: Helping Kids Learn Better, Feel Better, and Live Better, a widely discussed book examining why many students today feel disconnected from school and learning. Her research identifies four distinct “modes of engagement” that help explain student behavior, motivation, and emotional health. Learn ways to guide your child into "Explorer Mode," aka...Curious!
In addition to discussing student engagement, the conversation will touch on A.I. and its role in education, drawing on Winthrop’s extensive research in the field and offering parents insight into how emerging technologies may shape learning, and how they can best support their children through these changes.
Rebecca will be in conversation with the Superintendent of New Canaan Public Schools, Dr. Bryan Luizzi.
