Program Description
Event Details
Join Children's Music Specialist Kurt Gallagher for Sensory Music Time. Kurt will guide children of all abilities through an interactive, gentle program of music appreciation. The children will be encouraged to make as much music as possible as Kurt leads them through songs and stories with reduced volume and steady rhythm. There will be enough maracas, drums, scarves, and rain sticks for everyone who wants to play along. If anyone would like to sing into a microphone, they’ll have the opportunity to do that too. The goal is to provide an inclusive, comfortable, joyful experience that fosters children’s appreciation of music, singing, and storytelling. This class is strictly capped at 15 children per session and is ideal for preschool and early elementary children and their families. All registrants will be put on a waitlist, then manually admitted to the class. Registration priority will be given to children with sensory needs or other support needs.
