Learn storytelling from the best in this introductory workshop with The Moth. Since its launch in New York City in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of stories told live and without notes, renowned for the great range of human experience they showcase. In one 3-hour session, participants will learn The Moth’s unique storytelling principles; hear a sample story; brainstorm, reflect, and begin developing a personal story; and connect with others in the room. Spots for this special learning experience are limited.
The Moth Podcast is downloaded more than 100 million times a year and Peabody Award-winning The Moth Radio Hour airs weekly on over 575 public radio stations nationwide. The Moth also runs a variety of different programs to promote the art and craft of storytelling and to honor and celebrate the diversity and commonality of human experience. Their Mainstage tours have featured such well-known names as Elizabeth Gilbert, Hasan Minhaj, Malcolm Gladwell, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Molly Ringwald, Krista Tippett, Damon Young, Mike Birbiglia, and Rosanne Cash, as well as an astronaut, a pickpocket, a hotdog eating champion, and hundreds more.
