Program Description

Event Details

Calling all young writers, creators, and filmmakers to come and meet with local writer and director Claire Ayoub as she talks through the film process from start to finish! We will start by watching the Empire Waist trailer, then talk more about the filmmaking process and how kids and teens can create their own works. This will be an informal conversation so please bring any and all questions! Best for families with students age 8 and up!

Empire Waist (PG-13) will be released in select theaters on 9/27 and is a hilarious movie that discusses issues surrounding body image. Claire is committed to continuing the conversation after watching the movie and is the co-creator of the Empire Waist Confidence Curriculum, a free and vetted resource that launches September 27th and can be found here.
