Program Description
Event Details
What is mental health? What can I do when I feel anxious or stressed? These are questions that I used to ask myself when I was little and frankly still continues today. Mental health is a part of my life every day, growing up as an anxious kid, I wanted a voice and someone to help me identify my feelings.
Join St. Lukes Junior Katherine who has designed Thoughtful Thursdays to start the conversation and break the stigma around mental health for 3rd-5th graders who want a collaborative and relaxing space to learn the basics of identifying emotions and feelings. In the 30-minute session, enjoy a children's picture book about mental health and after a quick discussion about what was learned from the story we will finish the session off with a wellness activity, this sessions activity is making weighted sock stuffed animals.
