**Thank you for your interest in Andrew Ross Sorkin Presents 1929: A Special Evening with the Award-Winning Journalist, Author, and TV Writer-Producer. This event is currently sold out. Please join the waitlist below if you are interested in purchasing a ticket, as we are actively working to increase capacity for this event and a member of our team will reach out if one becomes available.
A leading voice of Wall Street and corporate America, Andrew Ross Sorkin’s latest book, 1929: The Inside Story of the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History, takes readers behind the scenes of a raging battle between Wall Street, Washington, and the larger-than-life characters whose ambition and naivete led to disaster. The highs and lows of this era eerily mirror today’s world—where markets soar, political tensions mount, and the fight over financial influence plays out once again. The Wall Street Journal calls it “one of the best narrative histories [we’ve] read.” Tickets for this special program are $100; to purchase a ticket, please click HERE. Signed copies of 1929 will be available for purchase on site by Elm Street Books.
Sorkin’s previous book, Too Big to Fail: How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System — and Themselves, spent more than six months on the New York Times Best Seller list, and was adapted as a movie for HBO (Sorkin was a co-producer), earning 11 Emmy Award nominations. Sorkin is an award-winning journalist for The New York Times, a co-anchor of Squawk Box, CNBC’s signature morning program, and founder and editor-at-large of DealBook, an online daily financial report published by The New York Times that he started in 2001. He is co-creator of the drama series Billions on Showtime starring Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis.
