To help file your 2022 tax return the New Canaan Library has again teamed up with SimplifyCT, the same group of IRS-certified volunteers that have been preparing your taxes for years.

This year Tax Preparation will not take place at the New Canaan Library.

In Person at Town Hall

Due to library construction, volunteer tax counselors will be onsite at New Canaan’s Town Hall.

Mondays 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm between January 23 and April 17.

Tax Preparation Virtually Online

Volunteer Tax Counselors will also be online on between January 23 and April 18.

A Smartphone or tablet w/camera, or a computer w/scanner, will be needed.

What You'll Need

•Government issued Identification (e.g., Driver’s License, US Passport, CT Identification Card)

•Social Security / ITIN cards for all household members

•W-2s (Wages)

•1099 INT/DIV (Interest/Dividends)

•1099Rs (Pensions, IRAs)

•SSA-1099 (Social Security)

•1095-A (Health Insurance)
