Tax Preparation
To help file your 2024 tax return the New Canaan Library has again teamed up with SimplifyCT, the same group of IRS-certified volunteers that have been preparing your taxes for years. Their IRS certified tax volunteers help individuals and families by preparing their Federal and State Income Taxes at no cost with an e-Filing option.
In Person at New Canaan Library
In-person tax preparation at the New Canaan Library will be available Mondays from 11pm to 5pm in the Craig B. Tate Conference Room, starting on January 27th and ending on April 14th.
SimplifyCT will begin taking appointments for tax preparation services on January 13, 2025.

Tax Preparation Online
Volunteer tax preparers will also be available online. This service goes live at 1pm on January 31st.
