The Library is closed due to ongoing flood remediation.

All programs scheduled for this week will be either cancelled or relocated. If you have registered for a class or program this week, you will soon be receiving an email indicating either a change of venue or cancellation notice from the program coordinators.

Please check back soon for more updates. Our digital library is always open.

Volunteer Tax Preparation

Tax Preparation

To help file your 2023 tax return the New Canaan Library has again teamed up with SimplifyCT,  the same group of IRS-certified volunteers that have been preparing your taxes for years.

SimplifyCT is a nonprofit organization, partnered with the Internal Revenue Service(IRS) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program and surrounding community organizations to offer FREE TAX FILING to taxpayers that earned $65,000 or less for 2023.

This year tax preparation is available in person at the New Canaan Library and online through SimplifyCT's website.
