Event Details

New Canaan Library is pleased to offer a four-session plein-air watercolor drawing workshop. This series of classes is designed to foster observation and exploration within New Canaan Library’s green space. We will set up our workspace outdoors, among nature, with paper and drawing materials, and draw from the surrounding plant life. Students will learn various watercolor drawing styles and interpretations. One-on-one instructor feedback will be given. Group discussion is highly encouraged, making this an interactive learning experience.

In case of rain, classes will be moved inside.

About the Instructor: Evelyn Harvey is a local artist and educator excited to bring creativity and art to the community. She was a Professor of Visual Art teaching Drawing I, Painting I, Design Fundamentals, Color Theory, and Art Appreciation at Palm Beach State College. Evelyn received her BFA in painting from Pratt Institute and MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design.
