Program Description

Event Details

Families can join us for a chess classes featuring a mixture of instruction and supervised play. Parents, kids, and grandparents of all levels are welcome!  Participants who are new to the game will learn the basic rules and strategy while more experienced players will have the opportunity to further advance their skills. The class will follow the unique executive functions based curriculum developed by National Master Ian Harris to help students develop important life skills while learning chess.  Classes will be instructed by the team of coaches from RedBandit Chess. Ideal for the whole family to learn and play together! Best for families with children aged 5 and older.

Youth Participation Guidelines

If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
