What sounds from the brass family remind you of the oceans, rivers, lakes and ponds? Join Norwalk Symphony’s Brass Quintet as we look closer at how they are used to portray water - and other sounds found in nature. Learn about the versatility of the Brass family - with its origins in the 'buzzing' that makes the sound to the tools that musicians use to change the sound with mutes. This year the iconic movie "Jaws" is 50 years old - and you can meet the brass instrument that provides the sound we all associate with the shark! Members from the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk will also bring some friends along to join us.
