Step into the world of pottery with this two-part beginner clay handbuilding class!
Session 1 (November 3rd): In the first meeting we'll go over two different techniques for making your own mug, bowl, or vase. When your piece dries, we'll take it to be fired and prepped for glaze.
Session 2 (December 2nd): Time to get colorful! We'll provide a few different colors of glaze that you can use just like paint to make your piece beautiful and food safe. After it dries, we'll fire it again and you can pick up from the library in about 2 weeks!
Pre-registration is required. Please note: This is a combined class for teens and adults, so everyone will be placed on the waitlist to ensure that both groups have a chance to join. Keep an eye on your inbox for confirmation that you have a spot!
Late Arrivals: Due to the nature of this program, and out of respect for instructors and fellow patrons, we are not able to accommodate anyone who arrives more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start of the program. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the instructor, latecomers will not be allowed into the program. Thank you for your understanding and help in making programs at the Library successful and fun for everyone!
