Event Details
This is a small-group training session to learn how to use the sewing machines in the Library's MakerLab. This session is open to ages 10-adult. Please include every person who will be attending when you register.
This session will cover:
- how to thread the top thread and bobbin
- how to set stitches and tension
- how to read a basic pattern and prep the pieces
- how to sew a basic seam and basic top stitch
- questions on how to use the machines for your own projects
During this session we will work on a sewn bookmark project to learn how to read patterns and to practice using the machine. This workshop is intended for beginners.
