The Faces of Our Life

Humans of New Canaan Text Header

Humans of New Canaan: The Faces of Our Life is a series of programs that explore who we are and the profound impact of relationships that shape our lives—from the family who root us and the friends who nourish us to the mentors who guide us and figures who inspire us. Please join us between September 13 and October 29 to participate in these special programs and to have your work featured in a pop-up gallery display at the Library.

Be in the Humans of New Canaan Portrait!

Saturday 9/13 @ 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Saturday 9/13 @ 2:30-4:00 p.m.

Sunday 9/14 @ 12:00-3:00 p.m.

Celebrate the transformative power of human connection by participating in this community portrait! During these sessions, local photographer Dutch Doscher will first capture you alone or with others, and then you’ll fill out a brief questionnaire of fun and meaningful writing prompts to accompany your image. Finished pieces will be displayed in our pop-up photo show at the Library!

This is the kickoff in a series of programs that explore who we are and the profound impact of relationships that shape our lives. Our goal is to capture as many members of our community as possible. We encourage kids and adults, friends and individuals, to pose. Come as you are; we want these photos to capture the real you!

There will be two photo days (September 13 and 14). Please only come to one of the two days. Drop-ins are also welcome but may need to wait for an available slot.
