Event Details
The Battle of Arsuf took place on 7 September 1191, as part of the Third Crusade. It saw a multi-national force of Crusaders, led by Richard I of England, defeat a significantly larger army of the Ayyubid Sultanate, led by Saladin.
Following the Crusaders’ capture of Acre, Saladin moved to intercept Richard's advancing army just outside of the city of Arsuf as it moved along the coast from Acre towards Jaffa. In an attempt to disrupt the cohesion of the Crusader army as they mobilized, the Ayyubid force launched a series of harassing attacks in an effort to destroy the Crusader army.
Please pre-register. Games features hundreds of hand-painted medieval miniature soldiers and are facilitated by experts from HMGS Next Gen, Inc. who have great experience in running games that are fun and challenging for players. Presented by the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, Next Gen.

Youth Participation Guidelines
If your child is under 12 years old, an adult caregiver must remain in the Children’s Room for the duration of the program. If your child finishes a program early, or if a child becomes ill, distressed, or behaves in a manner that interferes with other participants’ enjoyment of the program, they may be released into the Children’s Room before the program’s end time. Please ensure that your child knows exactly where to find you at all times.
