Event Details

Learn about the simple machines that power automata: cams, lever and linkages and then get started on creating your own sculpture with functional mechanisms that allow for movement. For students in grades 5-8 in Fall 2025.

Registration opens July 1 at 8am.

Join us for weekly STEAM Labs this summer in the MakerLab.  For the summer, STEAM Labs will focus on a specific project each week.  

July 1: Light-up Firework Painting

July 7: Marble Run

July 18: Laser Cut Earrings, Pins and Keychains

July 23: Origami Circuits

August 1: Cardboard Automata

August 6: Pencil Case Design
